About SleepSHAKE
What is SleepSHAKE?
SleepSHAKE is a nightly drink formulated with magnesium (citrate-glycinate), glycine, reishi mushroom, chamomile with apigenin, and ashwagandha. It's listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG L524569) and made in Australia. It's melatonin-free and designed to be part of a nightly routine rather than a one-off sleep aid.
What is the TGA, and what does it mean that SleepSHAKE is listed on the ARTG?
The TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) is the Australian government body that regulates therapeutic goods. SleepSHAKE is listed on the ARTG (AUST L 524569). That means it's a listed medicine, held to the standard the TGA sets for what goes in it, how it's made, and what we're allowed to say about it.
Does SleepSHAKE contain melatonin?
No, SleepSHAKE is completely melatonin-free. Instead of relying on an external hormone to force sleep, it's formulated with magnesium, glycine, and traditional herbal ingredients, including reishi, chamomile with apigenin and ashwagandha, to support nervous system function and muscle relaxation, for deeper, more refreshing sleep. It's not a sedative; it's designed to support the sleep quality your body is already capable of, rather than switching it off
artificially.
Why am I so tired but still can't sleep?
Modern stress can leave the body physically exhausted but mentally overstimulated: screen time, caffeine, work pressure, travel and poor recovery can all keep the nervous system switched on at night. There's also a second reason: being in bed for eight hours doesn't guarantee you'll wake up feeling refreshed. It's the quality of your sleep that matters, not just the number of hours, including how well you cycle through deep sleep and REM sleep (more on that below). SleepSHAKE was designed to support deeper sleep quality using magnesium glycinate-citrate, glycine, reishi mushroom, chamomile with apigenin, and ashwagandha.
What are sleep cycles, and why do they matter?
Throughout the night, your body naturally cycles through different sleep stages several times: light sleep, deep sleep, and REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Light sleep helps you transition into rest, deep sleep is when your body does most of its physical recovery, and REM sleep is linked to mental restoration. Waking up feeling refreshed depends on cycling properly through these stages, not just on how many hours you spend in bed. SleepSHAKE takes a holistic approach across the whole night, using ingredients that support nervous system function and relaxation, for deeper, more refreshing sleep quality.
Does magnesium actually help sleep?
Magnesium plays an important role in nervous system function and muscle relaxation. SleepSHAKE uses a
magnesium citrate-glycinate blend selected for bioavailability and absorption, delivering 350mg of elemental
magnesium per serve.
What do the other ingredients in SleepSHAKE do?
Beyond magnesium, SleepSHAKE includes four more ingredients, each playing a specific role:
- Glycine: an amino acid that promotes deep, refreshing sleep and increases sleep quality.
Reishi mushroom: traditionally used in Chinese medicine to calm the mind and support nervous system
function, for deeper, more refreshing sleep. - Ashwagandha: traditionally used in Chinese medicine to calm the mind, support sleep quality and increase
refreshing sleep. - Chamomile with apigenin: supports nervous system function and promotes refreshing sleep.
Why is SleepSHAKE berry flavoured, not a hot chocolate like most sleep supplements?
Most sleep supplements are hot chocolate or cocoa based, which usually means a bit of a process: boiling the kettle, heating milk, mixing until the taste is right. SleepSHAKE is different: Midnight Berry is a light, fizzy, fruity drink made cold, with just two scoops and water in a shaker. No boiling, no heating, no extra steps, which matters when you're already tired and it's late. It also means you're not loading up on a large volume of liquid right before bed; as little as 100mL does the job if that's what you prefer. It's based on what our own customers told us they wanted from a nightly ritual: something light, refreshing, and quick.
What makes SleepSHAKE different from other sleep supplements?
Most sleep products only target falling asleep. SleepSHAKE takes a broader approach, combining magnesium,
glycine, reishi, chamomile with apigenin and ashwagandha (see above) to support nervous system function, muscle
relaxation and deeper sleep quality, all in one simple nightly shake.
Getting the Best Results: Consistency
Can I take SleepSHAKE every night, and why does consistency matter?
Yes, SleepSHAKE is designed to be taken every night as part of a healthy routine. Think of it like going to the gym:
one session won't transform your body, but training the same muscles consistently, night after night, builds real results over time. SleepSHAKE works on a similar principle: ingredients like reishi mushroom and ashwagandha are traditionally used for a calming effect that builds over time, not as an instant knockout. Most people notice benefits around relaxation within the first night or two, but the deeper, more restorative sleep patterns build with consistent, nightly use over several weeks. It's melatonin-free and formulated to support long-term sleep quality rather than act
like a sedative.
Will SleepSHAKE make me feel groggy the next morning?
No, SleepSHAKE isn't a knockout drug. If the doorbell rang or your kids needed you in the night, you'd still hear them and be able to respond; it's not sedating you into an unresponsive sleep. What it's doing is improving the quality of the sleep you get, so you wake up feeling better, rather than forcing an artificial, heavy sleep. It's
melatonin-free and formulated to support your body's own wind-down process rather than act like a sedative.
How long does SleepSHAKE take to work?
Most people notice benefits within the first night or two, particularly around relaxation. Reishi mushroom and ashwagandha may offer stronger benefits when taken consistently over several weeks as part of a nightly routine.
